Narration

I’ve been tinkering with a drone for the past two weeks, so I pulled out two STM32 microcontrollers to serve as the main controllers for the remote and the drone. I wrote code for Bluetooth communication, joystick control, rotary encoder throttle control, and brushless motor control, and also 3D-printed a drone frame. The drone uses four 1104 micro brushless motors paired with 2023 three-blade propellers, powered by a 1S lithium battery. The total weight came in at around 195 grams, which doesn’t feel too heavy. Time to power it up for testing. Hey, not bad—communication is working, and the motors are spinning. But when I increase the throttle, something’s off: there’s no response at all. Oh wow, the throttle is already maxed out, yet it’s still sitting motionless on the table. Looks like there isn’t enough thrust. The 1S battery doesn’t provide sufficient power for liftoff, so I’ll try swapping in a 2S battery later.
